NAMIBIA will host Miss Southern Africa Regional finals after CM events consultants, who are the brains behind the project, were impressed by the country’s bid to host the modelling pageant. The regional modelling competition involving 14 countries from the Southern African Development Community (SADC) will be hosted in Namibia for the first time in November.
According to the managing director of Namibia’s organising team for the regional modelling competition Sylvester Simubali, CM events consultants have formally approved Namibia’s bid to host the regional modelling competition.“Zambezi Modelling Agency has successfully convinced the owners of Miss Southern Africa International to host the regional final in Windhoek on the 27 November 2010 at Safari Hotel,” said Simubali.
The Managing Director of CM events consultants Conrad Mwanza from the United Kingdom also confirmed the development in a letter addressed to ZMA last week.

This follows a stiff bid including Namibia’s neighbours Botswana who also wanted to get a bite of the cherry of the glamorous modelling contest which will feature 28 finalists from Zimbabwe, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Angola, Swaziland, Lesotho and the host Namibia.
The country’s event will be organised by Zambezi Modelling Academy who will also be responsible for organising the Miss Southern Africa Namibia finals pencilled for August.
According to Simubali, the modelling competition is meant to celebrate the beauty of the region and will also promote integration and Tourism of the different cultures of the region.
